Indie, metal, classical, modernism, you name it My favourite band would probably be Stereolab. I heard of them by watching old videos of ITV's 'The Chart Show'. I never got to see them live before they went into hiatus. Last band I saw live would be some band at Bloodstock '08. Unfortunately I don't go to see many bands live, I like studio recordings.
