I didn't really know where to put this but one thing I have always thought about is the instrumentations certain bands use.
what do yall like to hear?
I ask because I am sure yall have noticed that not everyone uses the same instruments. In fact they have, and might I add will, changed based on year and country.
I am in a Rock n Roll history class (really awesome stuff) and I just learnt that the first groups out of Sun Records (the first label doing the Rockabilly sound) were using accoustic guitar, electric guitar, Stand up accoustic bass, and that was it. Drums were added later (with not much delay but they weren't in the first wave of stuff coming out) and from there it grew to electric guitar, electric bass, drums (atleast most of the 70s and 80s bands I remember that was their instrumentation) But of course the were exceptions here and there.
For me, I like to listen to instruments other than those. I love bands that would use anything else. It started off with keyboards and keytars. But then I started hearing violins and Nyckelharpa and Hurdy Gurdys even Jaw harps. But my most favorite extra instrument are the Bagpipes. I absolutely love bagpipes. There is my answers, I am looking forward to reading yalls
